Commercial vs Free Software Comparison

Freeware- is a computer software that is made free but is copyrighted by its developer who retains the rights to control its distribution modifies it and sell it in the future.
Shareware- Copyrighted software that is available free on a trial basis, with the condition that users pay a fee for continued use and support.
Open Source- refers to projects that are open to the public and drawn on other projects that are freely available to the public.

Commercial Software- A software that is sold for profit
and represented, until recently, the majority of all software used.
